JWF partners with women to develop and implement strategies that boost food production and resilience in the face of a changing through the following strategic pillars.

  • Agribusiness

JWF aims to address challenges in food security and identify opportunities for women in the agricultural sector, by advocating for initiatives that enhance women’s competitiveness in local and global markets. JWF also seeks to foster market linkages for women, connecting them to projects in the agricultural sector that can improve their access to resources, knowledge and training.

Further, JWF programs aim to boost the sustainability and income potential not only of women farmers, but other enterprises in the agricultural supply chain, including companies that provide seeds for crops and feed for animals. Besides providing managerial and technical assistance to help agribusinesses operate more efficiently.

  • Food Security

JWF defines food security as the consistent supply and access to sufficient and affordable food to meet women basic nutritional needs. JWF takes a comprehensive approach to food security by working with women farmers, governments, businesses and communities to establish conditions that ensure people have reliable access to food that will keep them healthy and productive.

  • Climate Smart Agriculture

That climate is changing is not in doubt. In order to adapt to the increasingly frequent droughts and intense storms that result from climate change, women farmers must adapt the crops they grow and the practices they use.
